The Federal Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACTA) allows consumers to receive a free copy of their credit report from each of the nationwide consumer reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax and Trans Union) on an annual basis. A consumer can request a free copy of his/her credit report from these organizations through a centralized processing center by calling (877) 322-8228 or visiting their website at www.annualcreditreport.com.

Pursuant to the Free Annual File Disclosure Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 610, if PreCheck has conducted a background check on you on behalf of one or more of our clients, you may request a free copy of your file. Please be aware that PreCheck does not maintain a database of consumer credit reports. If PreCheck did prepare a report for you, please keep in mind it represents information that was verified at the time the report was processed, and parts of that report may no longer be accurate.

You may request a file disclosure by using any one of the three methods outlined below:

  • To request a copy of your free file disclosure by phone, please call PreCheck’s Compliance Coordinator at 800-203-1654.  Please leave your name, daytime telephone number, DOB and complete address.  We will call you back to confirm your request and address before sending you your file.
  • To obtain a copy of your free annual file disclosure by mail, please send a written request to the address below.  You must provide your name, DOB, complete address and daytime telephone number in your request.  We will need to contact you to confirm your request and address before we send your file:

PreCheck

Once we receive your request and can reach you to confirm your information, we will send you your free file immediately.  Please allow several days for your information to arrive by U.S. mail.
